Reporting Players: Procedure

Reporting players is one of the less frequent tasks we as umpires are required to undertake. It is also one of the most difficult. Invariably there are a number of things happening which require our immediate attention. 

Brown's Western Move

Former VAFA Umpire Nick Brown took on the challenge of re-locating to Perth for work and personal commitments and decided to progress his umpiring career in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL).

Ump Appreciation Day

The fifth annual Umpire Appreciation Day was hosted by amateur football club Williamstown CYMS, in conjunction with the AFLUA, Football Victoria and the VAFA on Saturday May 5 to coincide with the Umpire Round in the AFL.  

AFL Mates Program

Both Ben Nicholson & Andrew Heffernan are in the AFL “Mates” program for 2012 and get assigned an AFL umpire to mentor them and assist them throughout the season.
